MYoroface has developed IQoro, a neuromuscular treatment method that helps children and adults regain complex, vital functions such as being able to eat and swallow. It also makes a difference to people who snore/ have apnea, are paralyzed in the face / throat, has an indistinct speech, drooling or has mechanical problems with the esophagus such as acid reflux.
IQoro's effectiveness is scientifically proven. A simple, harmless exercise 30 sec 3 times / day for 5 -13 weeks has resulted in 97% of subjects with stroke improved their swallowing ability, of which 71% were normalized with treatment efficiency of about 50 000 SEK / patient. For patients with mechanical problems the training time can range from 5 weeks up to 6 months.
IQoro stimulates the brain and muscle chain from the mouth to the stomach at the same time. Research on the product / method on stroke patients at Uppsala University Hospital and Stroke Center Umeå University Hospital, also shows that recycled ability persists over time.
The Board's own calculations indicate a savings potential of 0.5-1 billion SEK / year at adequate eating and swallowing therapy.
